Within ITA the Data team delivers high-quality recruiting data reusable tools and analytics reporting to Amazon Talent Acquisition customers. The Data team is the engine behind ITAs success creating pathways to information upon which all of the organizations products are built and enabling Amazon to make correct hiring decisions a million times over. Focused on building scalable long term solutions the team empowers engineers and consumers to develop access and analyze data independently with a high degree of data privacy and integrity. As a member of the Data team you will deliver robust data solutions that drive fair and efficient hiring and rapidly evolve with the needs of the business.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes for diverse data sources using SQL scripting and AWS big data technologies
- Design and implement BI solutions that align with business needs and technical standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business owners developers and BI Engineers to explore new data sources and deliver actionable insights
- Proactively identify troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues enhancing system autonomy and team productivity
- Ensure data security and govern access to large datasets across the organization
- Optimize data models and query performance for efficient data processing and analysis
- Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines processes and systems
- Balance multiple priorities and manage end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects
- Contribute to data governance policies and ensure compliance with data standards and regulations
- 1 years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with one or more query language (e.g. SQL PL/SQL DDL MDX HiveQL SparkSQL Scala)
- Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g. Python KornShell)
- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop Hive Spark EMR
- Experience with any ETL tool like Informatica ODI SSIS BODI Datastage etc.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
