Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Material Tracking and Expediting:
- Daily or weekly runs the area production schedule to review current and upcoming jobs planned start and finish date.
- For each job looks at the status of material procurement material delivery and material receipt.
- Check that material quantities are accounted for and properly labeled (whether purchased pulled from stock or delivered from support areas such as machine shop laser etc).
- Issue pick lists using online systems to have material pulled to the respective area.
- Stage and Kit material so parts can be easily identified for the production area to use.
- It is the ultimate responsibility of the Material Coordinator to ensure the material arrives in the correct material and quantities and delivered to the job cell prior to the planned start date.
- In the event ANYTHING happens that could impact the material receipt date and impact the planned start date it must be highlighted and escalated to the Scheduler / Planner and Shop lead for that area.
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in Material Coordinator/Production Control role
- Working knowledge of computer programs and software
- Must be comfortable in manufacturing setting
- Must possess strong leadership analytical thinking effective/professional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company
- Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements
- Must be able to work well under stress
- Must be a team player and be willing to help out when needed
- Forklift experience would put you ahead but not required
