Job Description

Fargo Elima Cassia Community is hiring aCertified Dietary Manager to lead our customer-driven culinary team. In this role you will manage all operations of our culinary/dining experience.

Preferred candidates have experience working in a senior or assisted living setting a willingness to use creativity in making menus and a desire to work with other departments to ensure high food and dining quality.

Dietary Manager Responsibilities:

  • Create and plan menu and order food.
  • Complete monthly billing information and budgetary requirements.
  • Provide leadership to all kitchen members.
  • Must be able to relate professionally and positively with resident resident families and employees.
  • Execute all HR responsibilities for the culinary department include interviewing hiring staffing schedule evaluations.
  • Be an active member of the marketing team for events.
  • Work with the activities department to plan for daily social events.
  • Serve as a member of the leadership team and having a presence at events and outreach activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Dietary Manager Requirements:

  • 2 - 3 years of culinary experience required.
  • Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Have ND state Licensure
  • Must have Certified Dietary Manager License or Registered Dietitian License
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with electronic charting
  • Familiarity with state survey process and compliance to nutrition care regulation
  • 1 year of supervisory experience required ideally in food service.
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification and an understanding of local state & federal food service regulations.
