Job Description
Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Legacy at College Hill Wichita KS
Part-Time 10:00 PM - 6:00AM- Flexible Schedule!

Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Legacy at College Hill you will:
- Provide direct care to residents according to individualized care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by physicians or supervisors.
- Monitor residents health status including vital signs physical condition and emotional well-being.
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing dressing grooming and feeding.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team including physicians nurses and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Document all observations interventions and changes in residents conditions in the electronic health record system.
- Communicate effectively with residents families and other healthcare team members.
- Respond to emergencies and medical situations promptly and efficiently.
- Supervise and mentor nursing assistants and other support staff.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing updating and reviewing care plans to meet residents evolving needs.
- Promote a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Education Requirements:
- Current LPN license in the state of Kansas (or eligible to obtain).
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained upon hire)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand walk and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift carry push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend stoop squat kneel and reach.
- Ability to assist in the transfer and repositioning of residents.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations and assist in evacuations if needed.
- Good manual dexterity for handling medical equipment medications and documents.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions including hot cold and noisy settings.
