Your Opportunity
Berry Streets Hume Region provides a foster care service for children and young people who are at risk or who have experienced the trauma of family violence child abuse or neglect or who are unable to reside at home with their birth families and require a foster care Street provides foster carers who offer a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people in care.
In 2025 Berry Street secured new Therapeutic Foster Care targets to increase the number of therapeutic placements available across Victoria. Therapeutic foster care is an enhanced model of foster care that provides additional specialist training and support to foster case manager role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a therapeutic specialist to implement the enhanced model for children and young people requiring additional supports within the foster care system.
This position has an outreach focus in the community with service delivery across the Shires of Moira Murrindindi Strathbogie Mitchell & City of Greater Shepparton.
Your skills and experience
Building strong relationships by engaging listening to and supporting children and young people in foster care placements ensuring regular contact to monitor their well-being and obtain their input into planning & ensure decision making participation as age appropriate.
A Diploma qualification in Social Work Youth Work or other related discipline is a requirement for this position.
