We have an exciting part-time job opportunity as PRESCHOOL INSTRUCTOR! We are currently looking to hire instructors for the 2025/2026 school year.
WHAT YOULL DO: As preschool instructor youll plan coordinate and implement a well-organized quality preschool program designed to promote social emotional physical and cognitive development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lesson plan and implement activities that align with the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards.
- Observe and evaluate childrens progress/performance using the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards and the Sunbeams & Rainbows Preschool Assessment Form.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
- Identify concerns in the social emotional physical or cognitive development of the children and communicate concerns with supervisor and parents when necessary
- Conduct parent/teacher conferences on an annual and as-needed basis.
- Prepare materials for daily activities prior to instruction.
- Adapt teaching methods and activities to meet the needs and interests of children of all ability levels.
- Request store and inventory classroom equipment materials and supplies.
- Attend in-service trainings as required.
- Collaborate with other instructors and supervisor in the development evaluation and revision of Sunbeams & Rainbows.
WHAT YOULL BRING:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field with 1-3 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Teaching certification preferred.
WHEN YOULL WORK:
- Monday Wednesday Friday from 7:45am - 12:45pm
WHAT YOULL GET:
- The anticipated starting pay for this position is $17.00/hour.
- This position falls under Pay Grade B with a pay range of $15.50-$37.50
