About the team and the role:
As a Senior Product Designer on the Shipping Design team youll craft elegant and simple customer experiences that solve complex customer problems at a global scale. Youll be part of a highly collaborative and supportive user experience team who work across global buyer and seller experience focused products. Were seeking a designer equally strong across interaction design visual design and prototyping. An understanding of how to operate as a designer in a fast paced and highly cross-functional environment is critical for success in this role.
What you will accomplish:
Design and prototype cross-platform experiences that are easy to use beautiful and delight eBays customers
Create user scenarios storyboards journey maps wireframes Lo-Fi / Hi-Fi designs and prototypes throughout the full product development lifecycle
Explore a wide variety of design concepts to find the best solutions balancing the business objectives with the customers needs
Collaborate and drive strategic alignment with cross-functional partners
Drive discovery through workshops and design sprint facilitation
Maintain a strong attention to detail while also thinking end to end and designing for scalability
What you will bring:
5 years of professional experience designing for software or consumer products within complex company ecosystems demonstrating a hands-on approach to delivering end-to-end customer experiences
Bachelors degree in Design Human-Computer Interaction a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Passion for craft leveraging competitive analysis user research visual design interaction design prototyping storytelling new tool and technology experimentation
Strong understanding of the user-centered design process working collaboratively with other Designers Product Managers Product Marketing Business partners and Developers across the product ecosystem
Expert in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$108000 - $186900Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired employees will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
