Where does this role fit in

Youll join our friendly and supportive Health & Safety team reporting to the CDM Business Partner and working alongside another CDM Officer. Youll both cover different areas of the organisation supporting a range of internal teams including Property Development Compliance and Trades. This role supports the delivery of our obligations under the CDM Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act 2022 helping ensure health safety and compliance are at the heart of everything we do.

Your role is all about helping colleagues and contractors follow the right steps when it comes to construction safety from pre-construction planning and paperwork through to onsite checks and clear communication.

What skills and experience do you need

  • Has experience of construction safety especially site inspections or audits
  • Understands CDM Regulations and is confident reviewing safety documentation
  • Communicates clearly and works well with different people
  • Stays organised across multiple projects and keeps things moving
  • Holds a NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Is a member of IOSH APS or IIRSM
  • Has a full UK driving licence and access to a car

What are the pay and benefits

  • 40556 for a 37 hour full time permanent position
  • Flexible working policies this role would be both home and office based with regular time spent out on site across South Wales. Our head office is Newport Cardiff or Swansea.
  • Option to work compressed hours of a 9 day fortnight (usually a Friday)
