We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Intern to join our finance team supporting multiple EU entities. In this role you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer payments maintain AR records and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive effective collection practices.

This Internship is limited to 6 months.

This job is based in Cluj-Napoca Romania.

We provide a flexible working schedule with the option of working hybrid.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Receive and deposit customer payments accurately and in a timely manner for EU entities ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and cash remittances are applied to customer accounts.
  • Create manual AR transactions for multiple EU entities (recharges royalty credits etc.)
  • Prepare and send AR balance confirmations to IC accounts.
  • Provide support during month-end activities
  • Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports that provide insights into outstanding balances cash flow and collection performance while posting AR activity to the general ledger to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Communicate and negotiate with customers regarding adjustments deductions and delinquent accounts to facilitate payment arrangements and resolve outstanding balances.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including finance and sales to align on collection strategies and ensure accurate accounting practices.
  • Manage accounts that are in default performing recovery workouts and implementing strategies to recover outstanding amounts while minimizing losses.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation policies for managing delinquent accounts to ensure effective collection practices and minimize financial risk.
  • Process adjustments and write-offs for uncollectible balances in accordance with company policies and procedures.

For This Role You Will Need:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in economics.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and AR processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Familiarity with MS Excel and ERP systems.
  • A collaborative approach and experience working with cross-functional international teams.
  • Any other additional European languages are a bonus.
