Job Description

Where does this role fit in
As a Property Accounting Assistant youll be part of our Finance team supporting the Property Accountant. Hybrid working from home and across our offices in Cardiff Newport and Swansea youll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy across our property and development functions. Your work will help ensure smooth processing of our property transactions service charges insurance records and development cost tracking. Its a varied role with a big impact.

Whats great about the role
Youll gain hands-on experience with fixed asset accounting property systems and financial transactions within one of Wales largest housing and support organisations. From processing sales and grant records to analysing repairs data and supporting development schemes youll be involved in meaningful work that directly supports our homes and services. Youll work with a collaborative team and have the opportunity to grow your finance skills in a supportive environment.

What Skills and Experience do you need


Were looking for someone who is methodical detail-focused and confident working with data. Youll need:

  • Strong data processing skills and confidence in challenging inconsistencies
  • Excellent organisational ability and the capacity to prioritise in a busy environment
  • Good understanding of IT systems and confidence to adapt quickly
  • Experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (grade C or above) and appropriate Excel/numeracy skills
  • Its a bonus if you have experience in fixed asset accounting social housing or are AAT qualified but if youre keen to learn and develop wed love to hear from you.
