What this job involves

Reporting to the Associate Director of Engineering Operations & Sustainability SA. The role of the Retail Facilities Manager is to act and assist the Centre Managers on-site commitment of 4 days per week split across two local Adelaide Sites.

You will be responsible and accountable for the management of key retail assets and associated plant and equipment ensuring that maintenance repairs and minor works are being performed with minimal disruptions to the tenants. You will also be assisting in the achievement of desired fund portfolio outcomes and results.

Key priorities of this role is to ensure:

  • The health safety and security of all visitors and occupants.
  • Ensure maintenance contractors perform their planned and reactive maintenance with due care and effectiveness with minimal disruption to tenancies
  • The presentation of the property and the implementation of tenant retention strategies

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all scheduled maintenance is adhered to with appropriate service reports and compliance certificates supplied by contractors in line with Australian standards and legislative requirements

Advise the Centre / Property Manager / Associate Director of EOS of incidents and events that occur throughout the building or issues that may impact on the tenants.

Obtain quotations for minor repairs/rectification to plant and equipment.

Inspect exterior entrances ground floor foyer and carpark entrances for cleanliness lighting defects and any other obvious disorders and hazards. Arrange repairs as required.

Check operation of building services especially lifts air conditioning access control systems automatic doors for correct operation.

Spot check the general cleaning by the cleaning contractor and inform the cleaning supervisor of any shortcomings.

Programming of all system i.e. adjusting time clocks for public holidays access card charges programming of afterhours air conditioning etc.

Verify contractors issue permits if applicable and then induct all on the building rules.

Being available to respond and attend to any after hours problems that may occur on the building 24 hours/7 days.

Interested An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Retail Facilities Manager who is people driven and to be seen to be kicking goals for the clients. Experience in the management of hard and soft FM building services with emphasis on managing a portfolio of assets and their systems would be preferable.

Knowledge of Building Management Systems along with integrated systems such as HVAC Fire Lifts plumbing and lighting will be looked upon favourably.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential and a reasonable level of computer literacy with the ability to expand these skills as necessary would be beneficial.
