Job Summary:
This role is for a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist specializing in trauma imaging. The technologist will perform various CT scans with and without contrast as well as general X-rays. The position requires proficiency in a variety of imaging techniques and adherence to established protocols. Experience in a fast-paced environment and strong teamwork skills are essential.
Location: Fortuna California United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform various CT exams (with and without contrast) across all body regions (extremities abdomen/GI spine/pelvis head chest/thorax musculoskeletal lower and upper extremities).
- Perform general X-rays of extremities abdomen/GI spine/pelvis head chest/thorax and musculoskeletal systems.
- Maintain and operate CT scanner and X-ray equipment.
- Prepare patients for examinations ensuring comfort and safety.
- Process and manage images according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols.
- May perform fluoroscopy studies and enema studies (preferred).
- May assist in surgical procedures using C-arm (preferred).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) CT certification.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) R (Radiography) certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience (first-timers accepted).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Fluoroscopy experience.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Experience with enema studies and C-arm.
Special Considerations:
- 3 twelve-hour day shifts (Saturday-Monday 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM).
- Weekend work is required every weekend.
- Floating between units is required.
- Block scheduling may be accommodated at the managers discretion.
- Must include RTO (return to origin) information during submission.
- One call-off allowed per two-week pay period.
- Acute care hospital setting.
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour day shifts per week Saturday through Monday 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Weekend work is mandatory.
- Shift assignments and block scheduling are subject to manager approval.
