DHH Specialist Fall 2025 Specialty Teaching Positions
Were partnering with an innovative school district to bring on a dedicated Special Education Teacher with expertise in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) services. In this full-time itinerant role you ll travel between campuses to ensure students with hearing impairments receive the individualized support they need to learn connect and thrive.
As a DHH specialist you ll craft and deliver personalized instruction using a mix of American Sign Language (ASL) assistive tech tools and inclusive strategies that meet each student where they are. You ll work closely with general education staff families and IEP teams to foster academic growth independence and meaningful social interaction.

Requirements
Hold a bachelor s degree in Deaf Education Special Education or a closely related field along with a valid Georgia Professional Educator License (PEL) that includes an endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. Strong communication skills are essential and fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred. Ideal applicants will have hands-on experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing within educational settings as well as a solid understanding of the IEP process and the delivery of classroom accommodations tailored to individual student needs.
