Job Description
Location: Onsite Orange CT (with regional travel to MA & NY)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced GIS Consultant with ESRI Utility Network specialization to support GIS transformation projects across Avangrids electric and gas utilities. Youll be at the forefront of Utility Network (UN) technology rollouts-leading implementation migration and support services across several locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead GIS implementation and upgrade initiatives across Avangrid electric/gas subsidiaries
- Design configure and deploy ESRI Utility Network solutions
- Migrate legacy GIS data into modern UN-compliant architecture
- Support testing issue resolution and documentation
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and ensure ESRI best practices
- Travel as needed between Avangrid offices in CT MA and NY
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of GIS consulting experience supporting utilities (gas or electric) using ESRI ArcGIS technology
- Proven expertise in ESRI Utility Network (UN) implementations
- Utility Network Associate or Specialty certification (Required)
- Strong knowledge of GIS data modeling topology geodatabase design
- Ability to lead or collaborate in Agile or hybrid project environments
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems Geomatics or related technical field (equivalents accepted)
