Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Mechanical and Controls Project Manager with a solid background in Plumbing and HVAC systems to oversee projects in data centers and large-scale commercial construction environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical scopes-including HVAC plumbing and building automation/controls systems-from planning through closeout ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle mechanical and controls projects within data centers and commercial facilities.
- Lead coordination and execution of HVAC plumbing and building automation systems.
- Interface with clients engineers subcontractors and cross-functional project teams to ensure alignment.
- Review construction documents specifications and submittals for accuracy and adherence to scope.
- Manage RFIs submittals procurement schedules and change orders.
- Oversee installation integration and commissioning of mechanical and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines budgets safety standards and quality requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections resolving any field-related issues promptly.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely completion of work packages.
- Support commissioning teams with functional testing and system validations for data center readiness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of experience in mechanical project management with emphasis on HVAC and plumbing.
- Proven experience managing mechanical and controls systems in data centers and/or large commercial construction.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS/BMS) and controls integration.
- Deep understanding of mission-critical infrastructure and mechanical system redundancy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Procore Bluebeam and scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project Primavera).
- Strong leadership organization and communication skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders
