Pay: $24.40$30.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Weekday Nights 6:00 PM 6:00 AM
Location: Sand Springs OK
Job Type: Welding
Test Required: 3G Stick
Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter for a reputable client located in Sand Springs. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience in fitting pressure vessels and heat exchangers. As a Fitter you will be responsible for interpreting AutoCAD prints operating fabrication equipment and delivering precise fit-ups with minimal supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and self-motivated Fitter who values quality craftsmanship and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Fit metal components in accordance with set standards and codes for manufacturing pressure vessels and heat exchangers
Interpret AutoCAD prints to ensure specification and dimensional accuracy
Operate oxy/fuel cutting torch and Plas-Arc machine with proficiency
Tack weld per code and within welding procedure requirements
Maintain less than a 5% fit-up rejection rate consistently
Demonstrate leadership and complete projects on time with minimal supervision
Collaborate effectively with teammates to meet company production goals
Uphold a strong work ethic reliability and attention to detail
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in fitting pressure vessels and heat exchangers
Extensive knowledge of thermal cutting and welding processes
Strong math and geometry skills required
Ability to understand and work from detailed fabrication drawings
Self-motivated and dependable with a flexible schedule when needed
Must be a team-oriented professional who takes pride in quality work
