The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Science is seeking a full-time Assistant Associate or Full Professor - Adult Psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry as we expand our academic and clinical enterprise. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the field of psychiatry through clinical care teaching research and scholarly activities. This position offers a unique and dynamic opportunity to make significant contributions to patient care and education in an academic setting as a new graduate or as an advanced professional.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and comprehensive patient care services including but not limited to Adult Psychiatric Consultation Service (which covers inpatient med/surg units and ED) Neuromodulation (ECT and TMS) as well as limited outpatient services.
Participate in academic activities including teaching mentorship and supervision of medical students residents fellows and other trainees.
Collaborate and participate in conducting clinical research trials and other assignments according to the needs of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Medical degree MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry- Must be obtain & maintain within three (3) years from hire.
Unrestricted OH Medical license
Unrestricted DEA license
Required Experience:
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in clinical care education.
Strong people skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.
Experienced in teaching and supervision of medical students residents and fellows preferred.
Interest and experience in research is a plus.
