Were seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer with a passion for HVAC design hydronic systems and sustainable building solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who wants to work on large-scale industrial and commercial projects (up to $500 million) for some of the worlds most recognized brands.
At Hixson youll collaborate with architects engineers and project managers on multidisciplinary teams helping to design and deliver cutting-edge mechanical systems. Youll gain hands-on experience develop technical design expertise and build a career in a team-oriented values-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems for industrial and commercial facilities including:
- Critical process air handling systems
- Ductwork layouts design and installation details
- Hydronic heating and cooling systems (steam/hot water boilers chillers cooling towers)
- Prepare engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional design teams
- Engage in problem-solving and technical consulting
- Learn and apply energy-efficient design principles and sustainability best practices
- BSME BSMET BSAE or related field required
- Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) certification a plus
- Exposure to HVAC design thermal systems or MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and project ownership
- Collaborative mindset and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
