Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Complete the preparation of the Companys Canadian corporate tax returns including leading the preparation and review of annual SR&ED filings.
  • Preparation of calculations and working paper schedules in supporting the tax returns.
  • Assist in the filing of the Companys US corporate tax returns.
  • Ensure Canadian and US government remittances including sales taxes corporate taxes are submitted on time.
  • Maintain access and compliance with financial portals and systems for Canadian and US tax filings and regulatory submissions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all tax compliance audits.
  • Assist accounting team in preparation of financial statement tax provisions and disclosures.
  • Research new tax trends and regulations.
  • Liaison with external accounting firm(s) and working closely in all areas with the executive team.
  • Assistance in day-to-day operations within the accounting department
  • Other related duties including special projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • Designated accountant preferably a qualified CPA
  • Strong knowledge of CRA regulations and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple priorities and timelines
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
