CoStar Real Estate Manager are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our high-impact SaaS infrastructure team. In this role youll play a critical part in maintaining and scaling the reliability security and performance of our hybrid cloud platform. You will be instrumental in driving automation observability and operational excellence across our hybrid infrastructure spanning VMware Windows Server Ubuntu Linux Kubernetes and modern service mesh technologies like ISTIO.
This is an ideal opportunity for a systems engineer or DevOps specialist ready to take ownership of critical SaaS infrastructure and reliability processes.
This position is located in Atlanta GA and has the work schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day work from home.
What Youll Do:
Infrastructure & Systems Operations
Manage and support production and staging environments running Windows Server 2019/2022 and Ubuntu Linux across on-prem (VMware) and AWS cloud platforms.
Administer and optimize VMware vSphere and vCenter environments for performance reliability and resource efficiency.
Reliability Engineering
Build and maintain robust monitoring alerting and observability systems to ensure 99.9% SLA for our SaaS applications.
Implement auto-scaling self-healing infrastructure components and reduce manual toil via automation.
Develop and run chaos engineering experiments and load testing to simulate production-like conditions.
Authentication & Security
Integrate and manage SAML-based authentication for enterprise customers using tools such as PingFederate.
Collaborate with product and security teams to ensure secure authentication authorization and user provisioning flows.
Database Operations
Coordinate with DBA team for SQL Server 2019/2022 instances used by customer-facing SaaS apps including replication performance tuning and disaster recovery.
Automate routine database operations and assist developers with optimized query performance.
Networking & Firewall Management
Configure and maintain Checkpoint firewalls and VPN solutions to ensure secure connectivity between cloud on-prem and customer environments.
Work with security and compliance teams to ensure network segmentation secure egress and intrusion prevention systems are in place.
Incident Response & Postmortems
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to handle production incidents.
Lead post-incident analysis document findings and implement remediation plans to improve system reliability and reduce MTTR.
