Full Time & Day shift
40 hours/week
Overview
The Team Leader in Security serves as a resource for team members; performs departmental work assignments acts as process-owner/technical expert for Security; provide guidance to less experienced security offers. Performs other duties as assigned.
To bolster safety and security for our patients and team members Sentara has implemented a Fit for Duty assessment to ensure that our officers meet a minimum standard of fitness.
The four-part assessment includes a response walk a stair climb a drag to safety and a lift.
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certification/Licensure
- Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record
- Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) certification by International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) must be successfully obtained within 90 days of hire.
Experience
- One year of security experience; Former military law enforcement or security officer experience preferred; De-escalation and Physical Intervention training completed within 180 days of hire.
