Job Description
Under general supervision the Mechanic conducts skilled mechanic work including maintenance and repair of gas and diesel engines including both small and heavy equipment. Employee diagnoses adjusts re-aligns and/or repairs trucks trailers float vehicles light towers generators gators mowers and a wide variety of power tools and park maintenance equipment with little to no assistance. Employee also assists with special events support activities for all city sponsored or supported events such as the Holiday Parade Marathon 4th of July Palmfest and others.
