Overview:

  • Full-time Fixed-term position until October 2026

  • HEW 7 Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus and hybrid ways of working

About the Role

The People Advisor People Analytics Reporting and Workforce Initiatives plays a key role in delivering high-quality people data analytics modelling and data management services across the University its controlled entities and the broader People team. The role is central to generating meaningful insights from workforce data preparing high-impact commentary for senior leadership reporting and managing key data submissions to external regulatory and benchmarking bodies.

This position also contributes significantly to the successful execution of enterprise-wide change programs through data and insights. Your insights will help guide and support strategic decision-making across teams functions and the University.

To be successful in this position youll have:

  • Proven experience using Power BI HRIS systems (preferably Workday) and Excel to extract analyse and present people-related data that supports workforce planning and strategic decision-making.

  • The ability to interpret complex data sets to identify organisational design and workforce issues and to partner with senior stakeholders in using this to support the development and implementation of effective change strategies.

  • A collaborative approach to working across teams and departments with the ability to build strong productive relationships that support both HR and broader University objectives.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate stakeholder requirements into clear technical solutions supported by high-quality reports visual dashboards and engagement materials.

  • Experience contributing to strategic and corporate planning through benchmarking the development of performance indicators and continuous monitoring of KPIs.

  • Demonstrated capability to lead or support high-impact HR and organisational projects particularly within fast-paced dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environments.

  • A high level of independence and accountability combined with strong teamwork skills and a sharp eye for detail to ensure timely accurate and strategically aligned outcomes.
