How to Apply: Overview
TheInstructional Coachs sole purpose is to support teachers in theirimplementation of the Acero Schools curriculum and their execution ofeffective data-driven instructional methods. The Instructional Coachfacilitates the development of teachers skills and knowledge further buildingeach individuals capacity in order to achieve the Acero Schools annualacademic goals (both in terms of student growth and achievement).
TheInstructional Coach builds teacher capacity through consistent coachingcontinually improving the quality of teaching at Acero Schools and therebyimproving student achievement. Through regular classroom observations lessonplan critiques and one-on-one meetings the Instructional Coach providesindividual teachers with consistent feedback regarding areas of strength and areasin which the teacher needs to improve. Throughout this process theInstructional Coach also collects robust observation data and works closelywith the Principal to plan for professional development.
WhileInstructional Coaches do not work directly with students they are alsoresponsible for coaching teachers in building meaningful long-lastingrelationships with students the foundation of an Acero Schools studentseducation.

Qualifications
The nature of the work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment and the ability to communicate and exchange information collect compile and prepare work documents set-up and maintain work files. Physical demands include the ability to stand bend reach high and low stoop and walk around the classroom 60% of the day. In addition candidates must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs. for short periods of time and walk up and down stairs several times a day.
Working Conditions
Majority of work is performed in a general office requires availability for extended hours plus non-traditional hours required to perform job requires participation and attendance at organization-sponsored events and meetings.
