About the Position
Guggenheim is seeking an exceptional Information Security Engineer to join its Information Security team. In addition to Information Security engineering skills the ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to solve complex problems while maintaining the highest standards of security. The successful candidate will have experience with technologies or concepts such as Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) Identity Governance & Administration firewall design and implementation and Public Key Infrastructure.
The Information Security Engineer role presents an opportunity to build lasting solutions in a greenfield environment. This role will be pivotal in designing implementing and supporting new technologies.
Specific Responsibilities May Include
- Designing implementing and managing ZTNA solutions to support secure access to cloud and web resources.
- Collaborating with IT and Security teams to define and enforce zero trust policies including data loss prevention (DLP) contextual access and behavior analytics.
- Administering and optimizing Microsoft 365 Defender and Purview for compliance data classification insider risk management and information protection.
- Conduct technical assessments and security reviews across M365 and third-party integrations identifying gaps and proposing mitigations.
- Develop and enforce enterprise-wide IDAM policies standards and best practices.
- Manage and optimize IDAM tools and platforms (e.g. SailPoint Entra ID CyberArk etc.).
- Collaborate with IT security HR and business units to streamline access workflows and integrate identity services with enterprise applications.
- Contribute to projects related to IDAM enhancements migrations or implementations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and access reviews; remediate findings.
- Stay current with evolving security threats and recommend enhancements to the IDAM strategy.
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including security architecture diagrams configuration guides and standard operating procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in information security Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management solutions and proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Strong hands-on experience with Netskope cloud security solutions and understanding of Zero Trust Architecture principles.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and compliance including Purview Defender XDR and compliance management tools.
- Experience with data protection technologies and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR HIPAA or CCPA.
- Familiarity with enterprise networking concepts for switching/routing and micro-segmentation.
- Certifications such as: Netskope Certified Cloud Security Administrator Microsoft Security Compliance and Identity Fundamentals GIAC or CISSP.
- In addition the ideal candidate will be or have:
- Experience in the financial services industry.

Work Location

- Annual base salary between $xxxxx and $xxxxx.
- The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
