Job Description

Join us at the forefront of audio innovation as a Research Project Manager (Audio) spearheading groundbreaking research and development in spatial audio capture. Collaborate with a talented team of research scientists software engineers and PhD interns dedicated to pushing the boundaries of immersive sound technology.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in research project management and have familiarity with spatial audio binaural audio and audio signal processing. Responsibilities:
  • Manage and drive projects to advance research and development according to a delivery plan.
  • Monitor progress identify problems facilitate resolution and implement changes as necessary to keep projects on track towards completion.
  • Regularly report on project progress dependencies and risks to the team and stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper documentation of progress and completion of tasks and projects.
  • Manage procurement projects for equipment and vendor services.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and take on operational tasks in support of the teams goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Work experience in research project management with a track record of successful project completion.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive with the ability to execute on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with team members and individuals throughout the broader organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Administration Computer Science (Audio) Engineering Acoustics Physics or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced research and/or product development environment.
  • Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB Python C Max/MSP or similar.
  • Experience with spatial audio binaural audio and audio signal processing.
  • Experience with user experience studies.

  • The salary will be determined based on several factors including but not limited to location relevant education qualifications experience technical skills and business needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions peer reviews etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
