Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a long-term 52-week contract. This position is open to new grads and first-time travelers with a valid CNMT NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification. The technologist will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and performing a variety of imaging procedures using SPECT and PET technologies in an outpatient setting.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and conduct diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT and PET scans
Perform and process studies such as bone brain liver renal and parathyroid scans
Assist in pharmacological and cardiac stress testing (Lexiscan treadmill)
Document patient information and scan results in accordance with facility policies
Operate imaging equipment from vendors such as GE Siemens and Philips
Ensure safety standards are met in radiopharmaceutical handling and imaging
Draw venous blood and manage IV access as needed
Collaborate with physicians nurses and other radiologic technologists
BLS and NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification Required
Open to first-time travelers and new grads
No weekend or on-call required
Locals within range accepted at the same rate
Pending state license accepted but must be in hand within 4 weeks of submission
Must be comfortable working independently with a range of outpatient studies
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year preferred but new graduates accepted
License & Certifications:
BLS Certification Required
NMTCB or ARRT(N) Certification Required
CNMT Preferred
Additional certifications such as ARRT(R) or ACLS Preferred
