Job Description
Role Summary
We are currently hiring a Backhoe Operator with strong hands-on experience in operating and maintaining backhoe machinery on construction sites. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience and should demonstrate safety awareness and equipment handling competence.
Key Responsibilities
Operate backhoe machinery to perform excavations trenching and material movement
Perform pre-operation checks to ensure the equipment is in proper working condition
Load and unload materials as required for site tasks
Work with site engineers and supervisors to execute planned excavation or backfilling activities
Ensure safety of self and others by adhering to site and company safety protocols
Perform routine maintenance checks and report any issues or breakdowns to the maintenance team
Keep daily logs of machine usage and report to the site supervisor
Follow site markings layouts and excavation boundaries as provided
Requirements
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years proven experience operating a backhoe on construction sites
Relevant equipment operator certification or license is mandatory
Good knowledge of equipment safety maintenance and operating procedures
Ability to work under pressure and in remote site locations
Strong teamwork communication and discipline
Knowledge of basic machine troubleshooting is an added advantage
