Job Description
Position Overview:
TKO is currently hiring a dependable and mechanically inclined Grounds/Maintenance Technician for a 90-day temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our valued clients. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on maintenance experience and the ability to operate basic farm and landscaping equipment such as tractors and bush hogs. Candidates with basic HVAC knowledge are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily inspections of the property to identify maintenance or repair needs.
Handle general maintenance tasks including replacing light bulbs fixing minor plumbing issues and basic electrical and HVAC repairs.
Conduct repairs on shop equipment and machines as needed.
Assemble and install fixtures equipment and other items as required in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain safety protocols at all times and promote a clean hazard-free work environment.
Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance tools and supplies ensuring restocking as needed.
Keep detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities inspections and completed work.
Requirements:
Previous experience in facility maintenance grounds keeping or general handyman work is required.
Basic HVAC knowledge and hands-on mechanical skills are a strong plus.
Experience operating outdoor equipment such as tractors bush hogs and similar machinery.
Familiarity with power tools and hand tools and their safe use.
Understanding of lawn care and pest management.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as needed.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to commute to Tupelo MS 38801 (Required)
Relocation to Tupelo MS 38801 before start date (Required)
