Fire Protection:
$22.50 per hour
1st Shift Available
Thursday-Sunday 7AM-3PM (32 hours per week)
Job Summary:
The Fire Panel Operator is responsible for continuously monitoring the fire alarm control systems and dispatching the Fire Protection Officer (FPO) in response to any alerts. This role ensures timely communication accurate logging and coordination with emergency response teams to maintain site safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Fire Alarm Monitoring
- Monitor fire alarm control panels 24/7.
- Acknowledge and assess alarm types: fault pre-alarm and fire.
- Ensure seamless shift handovers and operational continuity.
Alarm Dispatch & Communication
- Immediately dispatch the Fire Protection Officer upon alarm activation.
- Notify internal emergency contacts and site supervisors.
- Maintain communication with fire teams and security personnel.
- Log all communications and actions taken during incidents.
System Support
- Report faults or malfunctions in the fire panel system.
- Assist with system resets and support technicians during testing or repairs.
Recordkeeping
- Maintain detailed logs of alarms faults and drills.
- Record response times and actions taken.
- Ensure logs are secure and audit-ready.
Compliance
- Follow fire codes and plant safety protocols.
- Complete required training and stay current on system updates.
- Maintain readiness for audits and inspections.

Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Familiarity with security equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong attention to detail
- Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security Integrity Communication Excellent Service and Accountability.
- Must be willing to participate in the Companys pre-employment screening process including drug screen and background investigation.
