The Director of PMO Finance Transformation will be responsible for orchestrating the successful execution of enterprise-wide initiatives focused on modernizing Disneys finance function. This role will lead program management across complex multi-workstream transformation effortsincluding process redesign technology enablement AI capability development and operating model evolution.

The PMO Lead will ensure cross-functional alignment drive disciplined execution manage stakeholder engagement at all levels and embed robust change management practices to support a new digital-first finance organization. The Director PMO for Finance will report into the VP Finance Transformation and collaborate closely with senior executives project managers and various stakeholders to drive project success and continuous improvement.

What you will do

Program Management & Execution

  • Own the integrated transformation roadmap timelines and workplans across technology data AI and process workstreams.

  • Proactively identify risks interdependencies and bottlenecks; drive timely resolutions and contingency plans.

  • Track KPIs and milestones to ensure delivery against program objectives reporting progress to executive sponsors.

Stakeholder & Executive Communication

  • Serve as a central point of coordination and communication across senior finance technology and business leaders.

  • Develop and deliver executive-level program updates dashboards and decision materials.

  • Facilitate steering committee meetings and align sponsors on key decisions and trade-offs.

Change Management & Organizational Readiness

  • Design and implement a comprehensive change management strategy to drive adoption of new tools processes and mindsets.

  • Lead efforts around training engagement and communication to ensure a smooth transition to new ways of working.

  • Serve as a trusted partner to finance leaders in assessing organizational readiness and change impacts.

Data & AI Enablement

  • Partner with data technology and business SMEs to build foundational capabilities for analytics automation and AI at scale.

  • Coordinate the rollout of data platforms AI tools and finance agent solutions in line with business priorities.

  • Help define success metrics and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

Org Design & Governance

  • Collaborate with senior finance stakeholders to evolve the finance operating model role design and organizational structures.

  • Support design and implementation of governance frameworks that ensure accountability data integrity and technology adoption.

  • Drive alignment across finance sub-functions (e.g. FP&A controllership shared services) on future-state capabilities and responsibilities.

Program Leadership

  • Lead guide and coach a team to be able to navigate be agile and execute effective project management

  • Drive continuous improvement in PMO processes tools and delivery models to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 10 years of experience in program management transformation or consulting within finance or enterprise functions.

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies tools and best practices.

  • Strong experience managing large-scale change and multi-year transformation initiatives.

  • Familiarity with EPM systems data platforms and AI/ML capabilities in the finance context is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to influence and engage senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Ability to self-navigate in a complex matrixed organization

  • Expertise in change management methodologies (e.g. ADKAR Prosci) and organizational design.

  • Bachelors degree in Business Finance or related field required; MBA or Masters preferred PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank CA is $200600.00 to $245000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region job-related knowledge skills and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to the full range of medical financial and/or other benefits dependent on the level and position offered.
