Job Title: Maintenance Buyer/Planner

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Buyer/Planner at our Dodge Manufacturing facility in Greenville SC reports directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborates closely with the maintenance supervisor engineers technicians and production management to enhance maintenance efficiency and increase machine availability and uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
Use the CMMS to determine the equipment parts needed.
Coordinate spare parts availability with maintenance work orders and monitor inventory.
Ensure the spare parts area is maintained and meets lean 6S requirements.
Work with corporate Indirect Category manager to set up vendors as required.
Initiate and manage timely RFQs from vendors.
Process POs promptly obtain vendor acknowledgments and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely material availability.
Resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
Work with maintenance engineers to determine PMs parts to stock and ordering levels.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships update purchasing info records and manage vendor performance against KPIs.
Address master data discrepancies as they arise and escalate if needed.
Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities using CMMS ensuring accuracy of work instructions help identify and complete root cause failure analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in supply chain management at least a year of experience as a Maintenance Buyer Planner or a minimum of three years experience as a Maintenance Technician.
Strong organizational skills with experience in maintenance buyer/planner roles preferred.
Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
Ability to work independently and provide direction as needed.
Proven capability to identify and implement process improvements.
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP and CMMS programs preferred.
Lean certification or knowledge is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a factory environment including wearing steel-toe shoes safety glasses and other required PPE.
Capacity to work in a team environment throughout the plant.
Flexibility to adjust plans/schedules to meet deadlines and customer demands.
Capability to move about the facility including stairs and to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
Willingness to work extended hours including overtime and weekends as needed.
Ability to occasionally bend squat kneel reach and lift up to 40lbs.
