Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Certified Ophthalmic Technicianto join our Eye Careteam! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Provides advanced level preparation of the patient for ophthalmic tests evaluation treatment or education-ensuring quality patient services.
Work Schedule:
Fulltime 1.0 FTE. Monday - Friday Days day hours between 7:30am-5:00pm
Required Qualifications:
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
The incumbent will have either:
Successfully completed certification as an Ophthalmic Technician by the Joint commission of Allied Health Personnel of Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) after the required work hours and credits earned at the COA level.
OR after completion of an accredited Technician program incumbent has 1 year from date of employment to successfully complete certification.
Ongoing certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
Detail oriented individual with strong human relations and organizational skills.
