Job Description

  • Deliver prescribed physiotherapy and occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a supervising therapist
  • Assist clients with therapeutic exercises mobility training and activities of daily living (ADL) retraining
  • Utilize assistive devices and adaptive equipment to support client independence and safety
  • Monitor and document clients progress and report changes to the supervising PT/OT
  • Provide education to clients and caregivers on exercises equipment usage and strategies for maintaining independence
  • Completes documentation as required 
  • Regularly assesses the patients surroundings to ensure a safe home environment   

Qualifications :

  • Certificate or Diploma in the Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapy Assistant Program from a recognized community college program or school registered with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities or equivalent in training and experience
  • Current police check for work with the vulnerable sector
  • Additional languages as asset
  • Valid G2/G drivers license third party insurance coverage must be maintained at $1000000.00 and access to a reliable vehicle
