Job Description

Ridgewater College is seeking applicants for an Unlimited Part-Time Nursing AD Instructor to begin August 2025 for fall semester. This unlimited position means there is continuance of teaching year after year.

The ideal candidate will have medical-surgical knowledge in both chronic and acute care along with experience teaching labs and clinical experiences. Simulation experience is also desired. This unlimited part-time position has a guaranteed FTE of .8.

Salary Range:

$43912 - $95542: Dependent on education and years of experience the salary will be pro-rated to 80% since this is a part-time teaching position teaching 24 credits and academic year out of a total of 30. There are step limits in the contract that we are limited to with the highest salary delegated at $71893

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirement:

  • Graduate degree with a major in nursing or

  • Bachelors degree in nursing and a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education.

  • A nursing program director must hold a graduate degree in nursing nursing administration nursing education public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty.

Occupational Experience Requirement:

  • Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.

  • As a registered nurse at the professional level experientially qualified to accomplish the mission goals and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach.

Recency Requirement:

  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Professional Requirement:

  • Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current registration in Minnesota.

Other Requirements:

  • Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments.

Preferred Qualification

  • Medical-surgical knowledge in both chronic and acute care

  • Experience teaching labs and clinical experiences

  • Simulation Experience

Other Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCUs vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
