Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Youth Services Therapist is a licensed mental health professional that works with youth in a behavioral health hospital and stabilization programs. Duties of this role include providing mental health and substance use assessment as well as therapy for individuals families and groups within these two programs. The therapist will provide consultation and education among the treatment team in a manner that most effectively meets the philosophy and goals of North Central Health Care utilizing evidenced based practices.

This role is full-time on-site and typically works weekday business hours. Starting pay range for a fully licensed therapist is $74776 to $81411 annual salary based on education and experience. Starting pay range for an in-training therapist is $61318 to $66768 annual salary based on education and experience. This role is also eligible for a $5000 retention bonus.

What Youll Do:

  • Develops therapeutic activities materials and curriculum.
  • Provides individual family and group therapy with youth.
  • Collaborates with the multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conducts intakes/assessments/evaluations and plans of care utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Clinical documentation and EMR records are accurate and completed in a timely manner including progress notes contact notes social assessments treatment plans and discharge summaries.
  • Assists in ongoing program development and/or improvement.
  • Participates in CPI de-escalation/restraint training and assists Acute Care department staff with patient safety restraint & seclusion as necessary during behavioral health emergencies
  • Identifies behaviors prioritizes interventions and demonstrates ability to de-escalate aggressive behaviors.
  • Maintains regular on-site attendance
  • Helps guide treatment team on daily curriculum to meet unit milieu needs.
  • Works collaboratively with the youths formal and informal support system
  • Provides consultation and education to the community.

What You Bring:

Minimum Education:

  • State of Wisconsin licensed or in training Clinical Social Worker Professional Counselor or Marriage & Family Therapist
  • Masters degree in specialty field in Human Services (Social Work Professional Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology) earned from an accredited four-year college or university.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to provide patient centered and trauma informed care
  • Excellent clinical decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications Skills Education Licenses Certifications and Requirements:

  • Licensed Clinician
  • Experience working with children and adolescents.
  • Three to five years relevant experience
