As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech controls team youserve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse circumvention and malicious behavior. Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives
Job responsibilities
- Executes security solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing security solutions to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g. product platform application owners)
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Applies specialized tools ( scanner) to analyzeand correlate incident data toidentify interpret andsummarize the probability andimpact of threats whendetermining specificvulnerabilities
- Leads delivery of continuity-related awareness training educational activities andexercises
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Design develop test and deploy Core Java web applications across various environments including DEV Test and PROD.
- Collaborate with product owners to gather requirements and design scalable secure applications in an agile environment.
- Conduct security validation performance tuning and apply software engineering best practices; support and maintain applications post-production deployment (DevOps).
- Hands on experience in using Java Spring Spring Boot ORM Oracle and NoSQL databases including RESTful/microservices.
- Automate deployment and infrastructure pipelines for both on-premises and public cloud environments.
- Write unit and integration test cases using JUnit Cucumber and Mockito; create software documentation and operational run books. Implement platform observability and reporting and handle production support tasks.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Knowledge of Object Oriented concepts analysis and design using common design patterns
- Java and AWS certification is a plus
