Your role
We are looking for a skilled and self-motivated finance professional to lead our internal financial reporting and analytics efforts globally. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on work with data and reporting tools. While this position will include supervisory responsibilities it is also currently a highly technical and collaborative role that requires strong analytical capabilities attention to detail and the ability to work across departments to support business decision-making.
What youll do
Internal Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain recurring and ad-hoc financial reports dashboards and performance metrics. This includes both existing reports currently produced on a standard cadence and new reports which may be necessitated over time by the business.
- Conduct variance analyses and provide clear concise commentary to explain financial results.
- Support monthly and quarterly internal reporting cycles including preparation of materials for leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across accounting finance operations and IT to ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency.
- Help identify and prioritize business questions and reporting needs to support transparency and performance tracking.
Process Improvement & Data Stewardship
- Establish and document standardized reporting processes and procedures.
- Contribute to efforts to improve data quality streamline reporting workflows and enhance accessibility of insights.
- Continue to explore the use of AI as an option to benefit recurring reporting requirements and commentary.
Strategic Contribution
- Provide input on the design and evolution of reporting tools and systems.
- Support leadership with data-driven insights to inform business strategy and operational improvements.
- Insert 5-10 bullet points to highlight the skills qualifications and experience required to be successful in this role.
What youll need
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; CPA or MBA is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in financial reporting FP&A or related roles; real estate finance/accounting experience and/or public company experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Yardi real estate accounting software and various modules (Voyager ABF Investment Manager etc.) strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in excel and experience with or aptitude to learn business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI Oracle BI).
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.
