From Vascular and Interventional Radiology to Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Neuroradiology to Whole Body Imaging our radiologists have the specialized training and experience to diagnose and in some cases offer minimally invasive treatment for a wide variety of health conditions.

Join us as a Patient Navigator Float specializing in imaging and Hereditary Cancer Testing. This position will be rotating to various sites throughout the greater Phoenix AZ area from the east to west. Our Patient Navigators play a pivotal role in collaborating with our clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience to a diverse patient population in an outpatient setting. Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years of recent medical assistant experience coordinating with a team of medical professionals and experience is insurance verifications and authorizations. Candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Traveling up to 60 minutes to get to an SMI site to act as Navigator in the event a Nav is OOO.
  • Travel 25-50% of their time
  • Assist in training new Navigators coming onboard.
  • Ability to drive to sites within 8-24 hour notice
  • Genetics education for high-risk patients.
  • Registration and scheduling follow up appointments for genetic testing.
  • Collection of specimens for genetic testing.
  • Liaison between patient Radiologist Pathologist and Referring Physicians.
  • Insurance verification and authorization.
  • Maintain compassion and professional demeanor with patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Distribute positive genetic test results to referring physicians.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of medical assistant experience in imaging highly preferred.
  • Experience with insurance verification and authorization required.
