Position Overview
DARPAs senior technology analyst will utilize all-Source intelligence to assess and analyze information on state of the world technology to inform leadership decisions on initial technology investment and development pathways related to U.S. capabilities. Responsibilities may include establishing system access requirements and procedures designed to inform on specific technological capabilities both foreign and domestic. The analyst will also identify risk and vulnerability to any potential investment or programmatic pursuit.
Embedded within a multi-disciplinary security team the Senior technology analyst will apply All-Source Intelligence context to DARPA technology and programs. This embedded support will develop or adapt existing programs systems and procedures within the technical office to ensure leadership is making informed risk-aware technology decisions. The analyst will support the technology office with a clear understanding of Intelligence Community (IC) requirements while not encroaching on traditional Counterintelligence (CI) duties.
The Technology Analyst will perform the following responsibilities:
Plan special projects in response to client assignments which include analytical approach schedule personnel requirements data collection assessment criteria and costs
Research and collect required data perform analysis and summarize findings in response to client requests
Compile detailed technical reports of analysis clearly defining the limitations or risk factors considered and findings providing clear concise conclusions and recommendations
Assist Technical Office management Program Manager (PM) Science Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) and security personnel in understanding technology development risks and vulnerabilities
Work with individual program management personnel to assist in analyzing and developing intelligence informed solutions to guide unique or difficult technology development paths
Participate as appropriate in program management and planning meetings and working sessions using accessed all-source information to inform technology lifecycle protection and procurement from a state of the world perspective
Establish lines of communication and professional relationships with other Federal DoD and IC agencies specific to technology assessments or foreign technology industrialization reviews
Other duties as assigned by the DARPA Director or Deputy Director of Special Access Program Central Office Technology Office Director Deputy Director Program Manager Functional Area Lead Contract Security Program Manager Deputy Program Manager or if required by the Intelligence Oversight Coordinator (Science and Technology Protection Analyst)

Understand the use of intelligence systems access requirements and appropriate policy adherence to ensure all-source use is not crossing CI functions specific to determine essential elements of information and conduct activities to detect identify assess exploit and proactively counter or neutralize hostile intelligence collection sabotage and terrorist activities
Understanding the technical implications to DARPA program efforts using vulnerability and risk data on state of the world technology; understanding prioritizing and providing recommendations to enable leadership to scope future program success
Attend meetings (either locally or out-of-area) and create meeting summaries or trip reports
Prepare and submit meeting minutes on an as-required basis
Prepare/present briefings incorporating graphics (if appropriate) for/to SID and DARPA leaders
Prepare various security forms associated with their duties
Answer telephones and other modes of administrative communication in the performance of duties
Perform or support security inspections identify security discrepancies and prepare reports
Perform courier duties within the continental United States (CONUS)
Perform user-level security administrator and information security responsibilities as required and in compliance with US Codes Executive Orders and DoD and DARPA policy
Perform objective reviews on all documentation encountered during performance of duties
Possess the energy experience and subject matter expertise to demonstrate sound judgment foresight and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced S&T RDT&E environment
Possess excellent organizational and communication skills; demonstrating an ability to communicate interact easily and effectively with a wide variety of individuals and echelons in both written and verbal forms
Manage and maintain detailed information and documentation
Possess excellent research and data-gathering skills with an ability to interpret/analyze complex information within operational Research & Development (R&D) / S&T environments
Work independently as well as in a team environment within the bounds and guidelines of the organization
Clearance
Minimum of active Top Secret (TS)
TS//SCI Required
CI Polygraph may be required (All personnel are subject to a random counterintelligence scope polygraphs as a condition of access eligibility)
Years of Experience/Education Requirements
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel to CONUS and/or OCONUS locations
Limited travel within the region
Must have active US passport for OCONUS travel requirements
