The successful candidate for the Scientist role will work closely with experienced scientists and engineers across MS&T Manufacturing Process Development and Analytical Strategy & Technology (AS&T). This position offers a unique opportunity to apply scientific curiosity data analysis and hands-on problem-solving in support of reliable and scalable manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply analytical methods to assess and troubleshoot in-process samples contributing to process understanding investigations and improvement.
Support method optimization and application for in-process monitoring and analysis during commercial manufacturing support and technical transfer activities.
Perform laboratory experiments using scale-down models across biologics unit operations (e.g. filtration chromatography cell culture).
Assist in the investigation of manufacturing deviations by analyzing data reviewing trends and supporting root cause analysis and CAPA development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding Manufacturing AS&T and Process Developmentto align on technical strategy and implementation.
Document verify and interpret experimental results; contribute to technical reports presentations and regulatory documentation.
Understand the regulatory and operational context of supporting GMP manufacturing while performing work in a non-GMP laboratory setting.
Remain flexible and engaged in supporting evolving team priorities across multiple functional areas.
Perform routine and complex tasks competently and independently and generate reliable and consistent results.
Capable and willing to train other team members on procedures operations new technology methods or processes as appropriate.
This is a team-based position that requires occasional weekend and holiday work.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering Biochemistry Biology or a related field:
BS with 5 years of relevant industry experience
MS with 3 years
Ph.D. with 02 years
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with experience applying or optimizing analytical methods for biologics.
Familiarity with separation techniques (e.g. chromatography filtration) and impurity assays used in the characterization of in-process biologics.
Exposure to biologics processing operations such as protein purification or cell culture is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and adapt to dynamic project needs.
Familiarity with liquid handling robotics and/or automation is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical documentation and presentation.
The starting compensation for this jobis a range from $103110 to $124900 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job such as required skills and where the job is performed.Final individual compensation will be decidedbased on demonstratedexperience.
