If this sounds like you BAYADA Home Health Care is offering a FREEDirect Care Worker (DCW) Training Programincorporating basic regulatory compliance and personal care skills to provide care for our Adult Clients. Upon successful completion of the DCW training program an offer of employment may be extended.
We are currently offering training for individuals to care for our clients in the surrounding areas:
- Hummelstown
- Hershey
- York
What You Will Learn
- Activities of daily living: bathing grooming toileting nail care etc
- Home Management Tasks: light housekeeping laundry bed making etc
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Range of motion/exercises
- Assisting with ambulation and transfers (use of mechanical lifting devices)
- Medication reminders
What You will Do as a Direct Care Worker (DCW)
As a vital member of the health care team you will follow a written plan of care by a registered nurse to provide personal care household support and companion care services. You will play a key role in helping our clients stay safe and independent in the comfort of their own home.
Minimum Qualifications You Must Have
- Minimum one year of verifiable work experience (does not have to be in the HHA field)
- Two (2) professional references
- Successful completion of our Direct Care Worker Training (2-days online)
- Pass the Competency Examination
- Submit to a criminal background check in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations
- Be at least 18 years of age
