Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Lays out dimensions on materials
- Saws materials to size using handsaws and power saws
- Assembles materials using nail guns staple guns hammers and nails screws bolts and other various products
- Bolts heavy pieces to bottom of container or skid
- Secures product with various materials including wood plastic wrap or other packing material
- Weigh loaded crates
- May move container to shipping area move lumber paper and other crating supplies.
- Loads and unloads trucks
Qualifications:
- Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company.
- Must be able to work under stress.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
- Must be able to process paperwork effectively.
- Previous crating experience is a plus
- Experience measuring cutting and assembling large items made of wood
- MS Office experience is a plus
- Experience tracking and processing shipments is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to go up and down stairs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must have physical stamina to stand stoop bend squat and kneel eight (8) or more hours per day.
- Must be able to frequently lift 50lbs or more.
- Must possess sufficient visual acuity depth perception and color vision to accomplish job tasks.
- Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment as required.
- Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
