Life Saving Victoria is Victorias peak water safety and lifesaving organisationbuilt on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations the Royal Life Saving Society Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.
Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.
Our volunteers members employees and partners work together with communities educational institutions government agencies businesses and the broader aquatic industry to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.
Food and Beverage Attendant
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at The Views as a Food and Beverage Attendant. Located in Port Melbourne and reporting into the Front of House Supervisor this casual position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while supporting the smooth operation of all food and beverage activities. The role requires excellent communication skills and proactive engagement with others.
Tasks include:
Completing set up and pack down procedures including setting up the venue for events arranging food and beverage stations cleaning and sanitising surfaces restoring the venue to its original condition.
Communicating effectively with the back of house (BOH) team and the Front of House Supervisor to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of services for each function.
Ensuring all food and beverage areas are kept clean hygienic and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Working collaboratively with other team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow coordinated tasks and provide support to The Views as needed.
Who are you
You have some previous experience in a similar food industry service and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be an exceptional collaborator who is comfortable communicating at all levels. You will have excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
Your enthusiastic approachable and can-do attitude will be the basis of your success in this role.
Some previous experience in a similar role preferably in the food service industry.
Strong customer service skills and a friendly outgoing demeanour.
Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
