This position assists the Mail Services Manager in daily operations of the campus mailroom.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives sorts and delivers all incoming mail/packages from the U.S. Postal Services UPS FedEx DHL etc. and intercampus mail pickups and processes all outgoing mail.
- Assists in distribution of all campus mail.
- Operates postage machines (e.g. postage scale meter machine).
- Operates student databases for packages.
- Performs customer services at window; sells postage to campus and community.
- Processes bulk mailing as requested/feasible for main campus Trinity Lutheran Seminary and Law school.
- Provides consultation for campus and community for services such as special shipping and outsourced bulk mailings.
Qualifications:
- High School education or equivalency.
- Experience in Microsoft Word Excel Access Outlook and Satori.
- Ability to learn Ellucian Colleague SendPro Tracking Pitney Send Pro P3000 Mail Machine and Connect Right Mailer.
- Previous relative experience preferred.
- This position requires the ability and/or skill to work closely and professionally with others as part of a team; be flexible; pay attention to detail; work without supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative; communicate professionally through both verbal and written means; manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines; and contribute to Capital Universitys philosophy strategic plan goals and doctrine.
- Able to lift XX lbs frequently throughout the day.
