Senior Accountant Spain
Location: On-site (Madrid Spain)
Schedule: Full-time 37.5 hours per week
Reports to: Head of Finance

Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Accountant with solid experience in general accounting and Spanish tax regulations to join our Finance team. This is a full-time on-site position in Madrid offering the opportunity to work in an agile tech-driven environment while providing accounting rigor and key support to our international growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) invoices
- Review and approve employee expenses in accordance with internal policy
- Post payroll journal entries and process salary payments
- Reconcile corporate credit cards and business expenses
- Ensure compliance with Spanish tax obligations (Forms)
- Perform subledger and intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain fixed assets and amortizations
- Complete INE statistical surveys
- Prepare weekly payment batches through the bank platform
- Actively participate in monthly financial closings
- Respond to internal accounting inquiries and ad hoc requests
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting preferably in Spanish companies
- Strong command of Spanish GAAP (PGC) and tax reporting
- Experience with accounting tools such as A3 SAP or similar
- Attention to detail autonomy and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Fluent in both Spanish and English written and spoken
