Job Description

Job Summary:

The GIS Analyst will be responsible for utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and techniques to analyze spatial data create visualizations and manage GIS databases. The role involves applying analytical and problem-solving skills to support various projects potentially related to workforce development and WIOA performance metrics.
Location: Harrisburg Pennsylvania United States
Responsibilities:

- Perform spatial analysis using GIS software.
- Create data visualizations and maps.
- Manage and maintain GIS databases.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to projects.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Bachelors degree in Geography GIS Environmental Science Urban Planning or a related field OR 2 years of experience performing similar duties.
- Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS QGIS etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with data visualization.
- Experience with spatial analysis.
- Experience with GIS database management.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Familiarity/experience working with workforce development boards.
- Familiarity/experience with WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) performance metrics.
