Job Description
Nurse Practitioner Family (Permanent Role)
Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: Full Time Days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical exams
- Diagnose manage and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order perform and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans medications preventive health and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the electronic health system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
- Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or in Primary Care
- Current Texas Nurse Practitioner License
- Texas RN license or RN license with compact privileges
- National certification in Nurse Practitioner specialty (e.g. AANP ANCC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 30 days of hire
- Strong diagnostic clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- In-depth knowledge of medical conditions treatments and medications
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking and strong clinical judgment
- Proficient in use of EMR systems and clinical documentation
- Ability to evaluate and interpret lab and diagnostic tests
- Capable of counseling patients on medical and mental health conditions
