Job Description

Nurse Practitioner Family (Permanent Role)

Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: Full Time Days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical exams
  • Diagnose manage and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Order perform and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans medications preventive health and lifestyle modifications
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the electronic health system
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
  • Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or in Primary Care
  • Current Texas Nurse Practitioner License
  • Texas RN license or RN license with compact privileges
  • National certification in Nurse Practitioner specialty (e.g. AANP ANCC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Strong diagnostic clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Skills & Competencies
  • In-depth knowledge of medical conditions treatments and medications
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and strong clinical judgment
  • Proficient in use of EMR systems and clinical documentation
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret lab and diagnostic tests
  • Capable of counseling patients on medical and mental health conditions
