Job Description
JD:
Roles & Responsibilities
Network Administrators are expected to manage and maintain both hardware and software essential for the proper functioning of the networks. Key responsibilities include:
- Installing configuring and supporting network equipment including routers proxy servers switches WAN accelerators Access points DNS and DHCP.
- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
- Configuring firewalls routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Arranging scheduled upgrades.
- Investigating faults in the network.
- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
- Reporting network status to key stakeholders.
- Good communication
- Flexible to shift operations
- Assemble routers Switches and Wireless controller & Access points.
- Maintain existing software and hardware and upgrade any that have become obsolete.
- Monitor computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved.
- Work with IT support personnel and provide network administration and support.
- 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Network support
- Professional certification (e.g. CCNA CCNP) is a plus

- Network monitoring tools
Product Knowledge
- Cisco Catalyst Series switches
- Cisco Routers ASR 1000 Series
- Cisco Routers ISR 4331 and 4451 Series
- Cisco Switches 953750 Series
- Cisco IOS Software and NX OS Software
- Wireless: - Aruba
- DDI Efficient IP (DNS/DHCP/IPAM)
- Solarwinds / Cisco DNA
