Job Description:
Morgan Stanley is seeking a Server-Side Java Developer to join their Trade Enrichment and Allocations Department. This group delivers trade enrichment and allocation functionality for institutional trading across asset classes. You will work on a platform that is critical for eTrading booking confirmations and settlements positioned at the core of the firms trade lifecycle infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop robust and scalable server-side Java applications
- Modernize and replace legacy mainframe systems
- Interact with global teams in trading operations and partner technologies
- Own all stages of SDLC from design to deployment
- Ensure timely delivery while managing change and risk effectively
Required Skills:
- Core Server-side Java
- JUnit for unit testing
- Relational databases like DB2 or Sybase
- Linux operating environment
- Strong SDLC understanding and communication skills
- Proven experience in Investment Banking domain
Preferred Skills:
- Python Perl or other scripting languages
- Prior experience working on eTrading settlements or allocation systems
- Understanding of financial instruments and trade lifecycles
